Guided by the desire to contribute meaningfully to the communities in which we work and live, PETRONAS ICT supported five CSR activities and invested a total of RM23,500 in 2018.

These were aligned with the Yayasan PETRONAS CSR framework and guidelines, and its mission to create a positive social and environmental impact on society. Established in December 2017, Yayasan PETRONAS seeks to create a sustainable impact on education, the environment and community well-being and development.

The activities PETRONAS ICT embarked on this year are:

1. Flagship programme with freeschool.my

In April 2018, PETRONAS ICT collaborated with bacfreeschool, a non-profit educational initiative providing free world-class online learning to produce a video series to inspire PETRONAS ICT employees and graduates of Group ICT’s Communications Academy.

The chosen personalities shared career-related insights and tips on building leadership skills, developing confidence, learning from mentors, excellent presentation skills, and succeeding in the corporate world.

The programme prepares Malaysian youths for lifelong excellence by providing an engaging learning experience through the Internet and cultivating soft skills.
